Sept 29th: Celebrating Paresh 2.0

Sept 29th: Celebrating Paresh 2.0

Class on Tuesday, Sept. 29th is cancelled at Good Wolf.  For those who trained with Master Ohlson, please join us at Paresh Martial Arts in San Rafael for a studio closing ceremony and community potluck.

The last gup class at Paresh starts 5pm, and the Paresh studio closing ceremony start at 6pm, with the potluck to follow.

Closing a school is not a trivial affair.  As a gup student moving into yu dan ja, I have seen it firsthand at least twice, and this will be my third.  Every instructor I’ve ever met cares deeply for all of their students. And sometimes, life happens and difficult choices must be made.  In all this change, may we all aspire to the grace that emanates from our friend Kristina. We love and support you wherever our paths go, confident that we will meet again down the road.

I started my training at Paresh 1.0, and helped move to our current location at Seventh Ave Presbyterian Church for Paresh 1.5.  I’m sad to see Paresh 2.0 in San Rafael come to a close, but am excited for the launch of Paresh 3.0 in the very near future! Join me in wishing Master Ohlson all the best in her autumn travels.

If anyone would like to spend the afternoon up in San Rafael, I'm heading up in the early afternoon to join the Tigers' class, and you're welcome to hitch a ride. It'll be ton of fun!
