I hope the holidays have been joyful for you and your loved ones! Here at Casa Cooley, it has been wonderful to have our kids home. And it has been so great having many of our extended TSD family come home to visit and train, one more time!
With the new year, there is a new calendar. Hopefully this speeds up the website 😁

As we look forward to 2026, I want to highlight a few of the upcoming events and amazing opportunities to gather together and celebrate our tang soo spirit. As always, you can find upcoming events on the Region 1 website as well as at goodwolftsd.com.
Worlds 2026
Chicago, Illinois, July 15-20. This is the big one, with lots of planned activities over the course of a full week:
- Ki Gong
- Clinics with Masters
- River Tour of Chicago
- Dan & Gup Competitions
- BKCN Promotion
- Party with live music!
- Picnic at Great America
- Behind-The-Scenes Tour and Cubs game at Wrigley Field
I've been to every Worlds since 2016, and have bonded with some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. For 2026, I want us all to go together! Block out the week now, and let's chat about how to make it happen!
Regional Championship
Fortuna, CA, April 24-26. The second biggest event of the year, where all two dozen schools in Region 1 come together, one more time. In 2026, our own Jade W. will be testing for Cho Dan and has already begun to train hard for it. Let's be there to cheer her on! Block the dates now!!
World Ki Gong
San Francisco, September 18-20. Right here in the Bay Area! World Ki Gong is open to everyone, not just WTSDA students. Come learn about breath-energy work, a key aspect to the eastern philosophies on health and longevity.
NERT Training
Wednesday Evenings, Jan 28th - March 4th. The Neighborhood Emergency Response Team is a community based training program dedicated to a neighbor-helping-neighbor approach, organized by the SF Fire Department. I've been meaning to do this for years and I'm finally committing to it. This is serious training for emergency situations; their student manual is almost twice as thick as ours! While not a WTSDA or Good Wolf event, per se, I invite all adults, students and family alike, to consider joining me in this upcoming session.
